ECO Imagination contributed to the success of the SEANERGY project

After 30 months of collaboration, innovation, and dedicated work, the SEANERGY project officially concluded in March 2025. Funded under the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme, the project brought together 12 European partners with a shared goal: to support ports in their transition towards clean and sustainable energy systems.

Throughout the project, ECO Imagination played a key role as the partner responsible for communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities. By developing the project’s visual identity, producing communication materials, implementing digital strategies, and engaging stakeholders, ECO contributed to maximising the project’s visibility and impact.

Delivering concrete tools for the energy transition of ports

SEANERGY delivered a comprehensive set of tools designed to support port authorities, policymakers, and industry stakeholders:

  • The SEANERGY Master Plan: a dynamic roadmap to support port decarbonisation and the integration of clean energy solutions

  • The SEANERGY Handbook: a practical guide providing step-by-step recommendations for the energy transition

  • The Technology Catalogue: an interactive resource presenting over 90 low-carbon technologies for port environments

  • Knowledge exchange from European workshops: capturing best practices and regional experiences

  • A social and inclusive approach: addressing training, equity, and stakeholder engagement

  • The Industry-Academy Programme: preparing future port professionals to address energy transition challenges

These results demonstrate the project’s ability to deliver practical, actionable, and scalable solutions.

Ensuring visibility and long-term impact

Beyond developing results, ECO Imagination ensured their effective dissemination and uptake. Through targeted communication campaigns, editorial content, and innovative formats such as expert interviews, the project reached a wide network of stakeholders across Europe.

The final project video highlights the main achievements and impact:

The strong collaboration within the consortium, combined with a structured communication strategy, has laid the foundations for a lasting legacy.

As SEANERGY concludes, its tools, insights, and community will continue to support the transition towards more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive European ports.
