ECO Imagination participated in the 2nd INNOAQUA Bi-Annual Meeting

From 25 to 27 June 2024, ECO Imagination participated in the 2nd Bi-Annual Meeting of the INNOAQUA project, hosted by project partner LEITAT. The meeting brought together consortium partners, stakeholders, and experts to review progress and align on the next steps of the project.
Day 1: Synergies and project progress
The meeting opened with presentations from related initiatives, including Horizon4Proteins partners and sister projects. These sessions highlighted advancements in sustainable food systems, alternative proteins, and marine biotechnology, while fostering collaboration opportunities across projects.
In the afternoon, partners presented updates across all Work Packages (WP1–WP6), covering the full INNOAQUA value chain—from societal engagement and sustainable aquaculture practices to processing technologies, innovative ingredient development, and regulatory aspects.
Day 2: Interactive workshops and facility visit
The second day featured interactive sessions focused on co-creation and key project topics, including market integration strategies, the INNOAQUA value chain, and life cycle assessment.
Partners also visited LEITAT’s facilities, where process and product demonstrations showcased the practical applications of the project’s innovations, strengthening collaboration and shared understanding.
Day 3: Communication and future planning
The final day focused on refining communication and dissemination strategies, as well as planning upcoming activities and events. Discussions also addressed exploitation pathways to ensure that project results are effectively translated into real-world applications.
As a partner involved in communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities (WP6), ECO Imagination contributed to structuring outreach actions and strengthening stakeholder engagement.
This 2nd Bi-Annual Meeting marked an important milestone for INNOAQUA, reinforcing the consortium’s collaborative approach and its commitment to advancing sustainable and innovative aquaculture solutions.
