Eco Imagination: Partner of the Horizon Europe INNOAQUA project

Eco Imagination is proud to announce its participation as a partner in the European project INNOAQUA, an ambitious initiative funded by the Horizon Europe programme, within the framework of the Farm to Fork strategy. This project, launched on 1 June 2023 under the number 101084383, aims to revolutionise food production from marine and freshwater ecosystems, by introducing innovative approaches focused on the use of algae in sustainable aquaculture.

NNOAQUA: A vision for sustainable aquaculture

Under the coordination of the Norwegian Research Centre NORCE, INNOAQUA brings together 17 partners from eight countries to transform the European aquaculture industry into a sustainable and diversified model.

The main objective of the project is to demonstrate and generalise innovative food solutions based on algae, drawing on concepts of ecology, circularity and digitalisation. This initiative responds to the ambitions of the European Green Deal, which recognises the potential of algae as an alternative source of low-carbon protein and as a lever to improve the sustainability and competitiveness of the aquaculture sector.
