On July 15-16, 2024, Eco Imagination had the privilege of participating in the Sustainable Workshop Series, a major event dedicated to knowledge exchange and action for a more sustainable future. These two days of workshops provided a dynamic platform to discuss critical issues and explore innovative solutions in the field of sustainability.
During these sessions, Eco Imagination had the opportunity to present two of its flagship projects, SEANERGY and INNOAQUA, demonstrating their potential impact on the energy transition of ports and innovation in sustainable aquaculture.
Day 1: Renewable solutions
The first workshop, held on July 15, focused on the theme of renewable solutions. This session highlighted advances in solar, wind, and hydropower, and explored strategies for integrating these solutions into industrial and everyday practices.
During this exchange, Eco Imagination shared its expertise on the ecological transition of ports and presented the SEANERGY Project, which aims to transform port infrastructures into clean energy hubs. By highlighting solutions based on renewable energies and circular models, the project is fully in line with the transition towards a greener and more resilient economy.
In addition, Eco Imagination introduced the INNOAQUA Project, an innovative initiative that explores the use of algae and biotechnological solutions for more environmentally friendly aquaculture. This intervention helped raise awareness among participants about the importance of integrating sustainable practices into food production and marine resource management.
The discussions highlighted the key role of public policies, community engagement, and technological advances in accelerating the energy transition and making renewable solutions accessible on a large scale.
Day 2: Sustainable innovation for a greener future
On July 16, the second day of the Sustainable Workshop Series was dedicated to sustainable innovation. This workshop brought together thought leaders, researchers, and innovators to discuss emerging technologies and new approaches to reduce the ecological footprint of industries.
The discussions demonstrated that innovation and collaboration are essential levers for building a more sustainable economy. The integration of biotechnology in aquaculture and the adoption of sustainable energy models in ports are concrete solutions that, thanks to projects such as SEANERGY and INNOAQUA, can transform traditional industries into agents of change.
An event with a promising future
Eco Imagination's participation in the Sustainable Workshop Series was a unique opportunity to share our projects, exchange with experts, and inspire concrete initiatives for a more sustainable future. This event confirmed that the ecological transition is based on innovation, collective commitment, and solutions adapted to contemporary challenges.
