Awareness campaign in India

During a trip to India, a member of Eco Imagination took the opportunity to carry out a field awareness campaign, highlighting the importance of drinking filtered water. This initiative, aligned with our mission to promote sustainable and responsible practices, aimed to educate local communities about the dangers of unfiltered water and the benefits of accessible solutions to ensure safe drinking water.

In many rural areas of India, access to quality drinking water remains a major challenge. Consuming contaminated water can lead to serious health issues, including waterborne diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, or typhoid. In response to these challenges, Eco Imagination mobilized to inform local populations about simple and affordable solutions, such as household water filters or basic water purification techniques.

Actions Implemented:

• Educational Workshops: Interactive sessions were organized to explain the dangers of unfiltered water and the benefits of purified water.

• Practical Demonstrations: Participants learned about simple filtration methods, such as ceramic or activated charcoal filters, as well as accessible purification techniques like boiling water or solar disinfection (SODIS).

• Distribution of Materials: Eco Imagination provided educational brochures and informational materials in local languages to reinforce the message within communities.

This initiative reached dozens of local families and raised awareness among community leaders, creating a multiplier effect within the villages. By strengthening awareness of the risks associated with contaminated water and offering concrete solutions, Eco Imagination hopes to contribute in the long term to improved drinking water consumption practices in these regions.
