On November 7, 2023, Eco Imagination had the pleasure of working with students at the Saint-Sylvestre primary school in Nice for a day of environmental education. Through educational games, interactive workshops, and concrete actions, this initiative aimed to raise awareness among the new generation about ecological issues and the protection of biodiversity.
Environmental education from an early age is essential to instill sustainable habits and inspire tomorrow's citizens to take action for the planet.
Throughout the morning, the children participated in several interactive activities to better understand the importance of nature and eco-friendly actions.
🦋 Biodiversity workshop: Discovering local flora and fauna
Students explored the richness of biodiversity through sensory and observation games. By identifying local plants, insects, and birds, they became aware of the importance of protecting these species from environmental threats.
♻️ Sorting and recycling game: Better understand waste management
With a life-size sorting game, children learned to differentiate recyclable materials and common mistakes to avoid. This workshop allowed them to understand the impact of waste on the environment and the importance of recycling in everyday life.
📚 History and engagement: Tales and discussions about the environment
To close the morning, we organized an interactive reading session with stories highlighting the importance of nature and eco-responsible behaviors. These moments of exchange sparked great discussions on environmental protection and the role of each person in preserving our planet.
Children's enthusiasm and curiosity about environmental challenges show how crucial it is to educate them from a young age. By integrating these concepts into their daily lives, they become ambassadors for change, able to influence those around them and adopt sustainable practices.
Thanks to this day, the students of the Saint-Sylvestre school developed a better understanding of ecology and were left with simple actions to apply at home: saving water, limiting food waste, favoring reusable products, and protecting the nature around them.
